DOES TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION EFFECTS THE BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY IN CHINA: MODERATING ROLE OF COMPUTER ANXIETY
GeLei Qiu

ABSTRACT: Business sustainability has become an international requirement due to uncertainty of the economy and environment, and this could be achieved by technology adoption. To solve this issue, the present article investigates the impact of technology adoption (perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and behavioral intention to use) on the business sustainability of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in China. The study also analyzes the moderating role of computer anxiety on the association of perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease to use (PEU), behavioral intention to use (BIU) and business sustainability of SMEs in China. The article also used questionnaires for the collection of primary data from the selected respondents. The study also applied the PLS-SEM with the help of smart-PLS to check the relationships between understudy variables. The results revealed that the PU, PEU and BIU have a positive and significant association with the business sustainability of SMEs in China. The findings also exposed that computer anxiety significantly moderates among PU, PEU, BIU and business sustainability of SMEs in China. The article provides help to the policymakers in making policies related to business sustainability using technology adoption and eliminating computer anxiety.
