THE ROLE OF MIDDLE EAST COUNTRIES IN THE INTERNATIONAL ARMS MARKET THE 21st CENTURY PERSPECTIVE
Przemyslaw Skulski

ABSTRACT. The early 21st century has brought an increase in global expenditure related to international security, visible also in the Middle East. Due to its political, economic and military conditions, this region is of significant importance for the international market of armaments and military equipment, and is highly valuable for leading arms producers, headed by the USA. The first two decades of this century were also marked by activities aimed at increasing the role played by the countries of the Middle East as exporters of weapons.
