ASSESSMENT OF PROJECT SUCCESS. IS SUSTAINABILITY IS RELEVANCE?8
Marek Wasowicz

ABSTRACT. Over the past twenty years, the understanding of success has significantly evolved. Projects stopped focusing only on keeping on time and within budget, but also began to study their impact on other aspects inside and outside the organization for example: customer satisfaction, success of the organisation, impact of the project on the future of the organization, stakeholder satisfaction. Management and project managers shouldn't no longer consider their projects in isolation from the strategic goals of the organisation and must include the principles of sustainable development. The research conducted shows the growing awareness of project managers in this regard, however, too much importance is still attached to the short-term benefits of projects.
The multi-dimensional evaluation of the project's success described in the article allows the direction of activities by project managers and teams not only to short-term thinking, but also allows for the implementation of the strategic goals of the organisation, including building the image of a socially responsible organisation.
