THE IMPORTANCE OF SPORTING ACTIVITY FOR MEN (AS ADVANCED CONSUMERS) SELF-ESTEEM AND REDUCTION OF SOCIAL EXCLUSION

ABSTRACT. Social exclusion and the problems caused by this phenomenon have always been relevant to researchers. Men mostly fall to social exclusion groups because of their gender identity stereotypes in society. Consumption in debt might be understood as the compensation for a lack of masculinity and recognition yourself as a confident, respectful man with high esteem and an appropriate position in society. In other hand, debt consumption creates the conditions to experience social exclusion, experience a sense of diminished self-esteem. Aim of the study: to reveal the significance of sporting activity for men, who are experiencing social exclusion due to advanced consumption, self-esteem. Results: All study participants, males who have experienced social exclusion due to advanced consumption, have experienced severe personality problems, i.e. low self-esteem, mistrust, lack of self-confidence, loss of health and social health, as well as job loss, family crises, and social status decline.
