IMPORTANCE OF INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT FOR PROMOTING EXPORTS OF ARMS AND MILITARY EQUIPMENT7
Przemyslaw Skulski

ABSTRACT. One of the most important characteristics of the international market of arms and military equipment is the strong reliance on institutional activities, which serve both to support the defence industry and to promote arms exports. Although similar activities of government institutions can be also noted in other markets, yet in the case of the defence sector this form of involvement is often of key importance in striving for sales contracts. The aim of the article is to present the mechanism and role of institutional support in promoting the export of arms and military equipment which constitutes a specific form of marketing communication. The author also points out the fact that such a support exists on different levels of authority and government administration, and describes the influence of such actions on the activity in foreign markets .
