PERSPECTIVE OF FEMININE LEADERSHIP IN THE SOCIO-POLITICAL FIELD. COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES
Andreea Simona Saseanu, Simona Ioana Ghita, Rodica-Manuela Gogonea

ABSTRACT. Nowadays, women live an excellent period because in most parts of the world they enjoy the rights they have long been denied, those of voting and possessing property, receiving education and developing a career, making decisions about their own body and the list may continue. In addition, according to a research by Eagly and Heilman (2016), there are about 3000 articles published in magazines since 1970, of which 38% have been published since 2010, demonstrating an increase in the academic interest for women as leaders, this being in line with the growing public interest and widespread agitation for women's inclusion amongst the power holders. Organizations such as "2020 Women on Boards" promote women in business leadership and groups like "Emily's List" support women running for political positions. This paper aims to characterize the socio-economic context that affects the way and the extent to which women can participate in the decision-making process, in the social and political environment.
