THE SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION OF FINANCIAL INDUSTRY ECOSYSTEM IN SHANGHAI LITTLE LUJIAZUI

ABSTRACT. Little Lujiazui is crucial to the construction of Shanghai International Financial Centre. Using Kriging Interpolation, degree centrality, average path length, cluster coefficient as tools, the research analyses the spatial distribution characteristics of enterprises in Little Lujiazui according to a field research on 1445 enterprises within 25 buildings in this area. Finally, we come to conclusions: the spatial distribution of enterprises in Little Lujiazui presents a "core-periphery" pattern; an industrial ecosystem mainly based on financial industry comes into being, with numerous enterprises of high efficiency, considerable influence as well as high-skilled labour agglomerate densely here  .
