THE RESPONSIVENESS OF THE RURAL AREA TO THE RELATED-DECREASING POVERTY MEASURES OF THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT POLICY: THE CASE OF NORTH-EAST REGION OF ROMANIA

ABSTRACT. The paper aims to discuss about the rural material deprivation and available means for achieving a certain standard of living as evidences revealing the capacity of responding to the sustainable development goal related to poverty. Starting from the theoretical discussions of this concept, we attempt to understand and to evaluate it using both direct and indirect approach in order to obtain a multidimensional perspective, concerning both the level and the poverty status among the people living in rural areas in North-East Region of Romania, paying attention especially to the individuals included in the severe material deprived category.
