MEASUREMENT POSSIBILITIES OF THE VALUE CREATED THROUGH CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Vytautas Juscius, Donatas Jonikas

ABSTRACT. The paper aims at summarizing and verifying all possible areas of value creation through corporate social responsibility (CSR) in value creation chain (VCC) and defining suitable metrics to measure the created value. The list of possible areas of value creation through CSR and appropriate metrics were developed on the basis of theoretical research, and verified by the expert survey: 36 theoretically possible areas of value creation were tested, of which 27 were fully confirmed and 9 - only partly confirmed; in addition 52 metrics were tested and 31 were fully confirmed, while the remaining 21 require improvements or have to be used in combination with additional metrics. The paper gives solid foundation for developing value calculation formulas which might be adopted both in a single company, as well as in the whole VCC. Having such formulas would allow measuring the value created through CSR in the whole VCC .
