THE ANALYSIS OF FACTORS WHICH HAVE IMPACT FOR SUMMARY INNOVATION INDEX IN GERMANY, ESTONIA AND LITHUANIA

ABSTRACT. The aim of the research is to analyze the factors of innovation and analyze the changes of the index in Germany, Estonia and Lithuania. Identify the quantitive assesment of factors and how much its effect the summary innovation index of Europe. The article consists of two main parts. First of all, using statistic data of European Commission and Statistical Department of Germany, Estonia and Lithuania it was represented the macroeconomic analysis of Summary Innovation Index of Europe in the period of 2010 - 2015. Secondly, using SPSS program 19.0 the models of linear regression were composed and the main factors determining Summary Innovation Index in countries were evaluated. The results of the research were summarized in conclusions. Empirical study demonstrated that the Summary Innovation Index in Germany, Estonia and Lithuania most influenced by the share of GDP allocated to R & D (% of GDP), the number of researchers, the number of patents issued and Internet access households, thus, all countries must ensure raising the level of innovation and focusing on the improvement of these factors.
