EFFICIENCY OF SOLUTION FOCUSED BRIEF COACHING IN ENHANCING LEADERSHIP AND WOKERS' MOTIVATION

ABSTRACT. The aim of the paper is to reveal the efficiency of solution focused brief (SFB) Coaching applied by managers as a strategy of the promotion of the employees' motivation. The following objectives have been outlined: (1) To find out whether SFB Coaching may be an efficient and convenient method for the interaction of a manager and his/her employees, the increase of their intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and the decrease of amotivation and (2) To find out whether coaching based on the concept of Solution Focused Brief Counseling is appropriate for a manager's interaction with his/her subordinates and whether it contributes to the development of the transformational style of management. The results of the research revealed that the coaching employed by managers based on the Solution Focused Brief Counseling model is an efficient tool enhancing the intrinsic motivation of employees and decreasing their amotivation  .
