Conceptual Model of Service Portfolio Strategiv Planning within Romanian Publiv Organizations

ABSTRACT. The management of public services portfolio is an important task for those organizations that want to successfully achieve their general objectives and implement strategy, by providing adequate services to their individual customers or the entire community. The authors propose a decision-making model specific to public organizations of Romania, as it is relates to both, the results of a qualitative research regarding the particularities of strategic planning within these entities and various models identified in the marketing-management literature. This theoretical model is no more than an attempt to simplify and also to better organize the process of strategic planning of new public services. As such, public providers may apply the model, whenever they identify the need to diversify their portfolio of services.
