About Author

Asta Valackienė: is Full Professor, Doctor of Social Sciences. Dean of Faculty of Management and Administration, at Panevezys Institute, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania. The areas of scientific interests include Sociology and Management and Administration, namely: investigation and analysis of social phenomena, sociology of labour, management, crisis management, public relations, corporate social responsibility. A.Valackiene has experience in various projects related to sustainable development in regions, environmental mitigation policies. Asta Valackiene gives lectures for businessmen and state officials on crisis management and decision making. The author published 9 articles in referred Social Sciences Citation Index (Web of Science) and 40 articles on other reviewed scientific journals. Since 2010 is a member of Kaunas University of Technology doctoral theses defense committee in Business and Management field (03S): “Diagnosis of crisis situation in a company”, “Evaluation of the effectiveness of public relations in business companies”. Opposed 2 doctoral dissertations as an international expert in Latvia University „Competence and professional development of study program director as manager“, „General education school principal’s role in the process of school culture improvement” (Management Sciences; Sub-branch: Education Management). She is included in the expert’s roster of Baltic Journal of Management. She is the author of some textbooks, course books and methodological books.
