The Refinement of Study Program Content Based on a Problem Domain Model
Jurij Tekutov, Saulius Gudas, Vitalijus Denisovas

ABSTRACT. The paper deals with the problem of the refinement of study content related to a particular problem domain. The presented approach uses the modified Value Chain Model (VCM) in order to describe the refinement procedure of the problem domain knowledge. The major components of the modified VCM (domain knowledge) are management functions and information flows related by a control loop to the processes in the problem domain. The formal description of the information transformations of a particular management function is defined as an elementary management cycle. The modified VCM-based framework for the refinement of study program content is developed and discussed.
