Interaction between Cultural Heritage and Industries of Cultural Tourism in Lithuania

ABSTRACT. The article provides the analysis of interaction between cultural tourism sector and cultural heritage. The analysis is based on the results of research “The Formation of Cultural Heritage Industry and Its Significance for the Evolution of Cultural Tourism” carried out in Lithuania in October – November, 2010. The analysed cities and regions have the cultural potential for the organization of cultural tourism as business, i.e. the potential of the objects of cultural heritage both in the national and local perspectives: an interesting and original past, natural environment and historical experience.
