Support for the Innovativeness of Polish Economy Quoting the Example of Innovative Economy Operational Programme

ABSTRACT. The article presents possibilities of supporting the innovativeness of Polish economy from European Regional Development Fund as part of Innovative Economy Operational Programme to be implemented in the years 2007- 2013. The development of innovativeness of Polish economy and enterprises is one of primary objectives formulated as part of National Strategic Reference Framework for 2007- 2013. This is the main document to determine the use of resources obtained from European Regional Development Fund, European Social Fund and Cohesion Fund. The development in question occurs mainly thanks to direct investment support for enterprises, as well as investment in institutions operating in R&D and business environment.
