About Author
Irena Alperytė
  is a researcher and a PhD candidate at the Department of International Economy and Management, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania. In December 2001 she graduated from L’Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Dijon, France, special programme ECUME, where she received her Master’s degree in Management. Her thesis paper there was dedicated to comparison of contemporary British and Lithuanian systems of culture and arts administration. In May 1998, she graduated from New York University (USA), where she received her Master’s of Science in Management Degree (Edmund F. Muskie fellowship). She wrote her Master’s paper there on George Soros foundation and its impact on Lithuanian theatre. She has published several articles in the magazine “Kultūros aktualijos” (Issues on Culture), the Lithuanian daily “Lietuvos rytas” (Lithuania’s Morning) and a chapter in “Meno aritmetika” (Arithmetic of Art) by Tyto alba publishers (2004). Ms. Alperytė has done her internships in the USA, the UK and Portugal in various management areas. Her main scientific interest is systems and approaches towards cultural management in Lithuania and abroad.
